Confetti Rice Krispie™️ Treats with Chocolate Easter Eggs

Ingredients
  

  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 lb Jet-Puffed Marshmallows or Mini Marshmallows
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies™️ or crispy rice cereal
  • 1/4 cup pastel star sprinkles (or whatever you have on hand!)
  • 15 chocolate Easter eggs

Instructions
 

  • Spray a 9x13 baking pan with non-stick or olive oil spray and set aside. Add butter and marshmallows to a large microwaveable bowl. Microwave on HIGH for 1 minute, stir (using a rubber spatula coated with non-stick or olive oil spray) and microwave approx another 15 seconds if needed. Stir until butter and marshmallows are well mixed.
  • Stir in Rice Krispies and sprinkles. Transfer to baking pan and pat down with rubber spatula to make it even. Let cool completely prior to cutting into squares. However, I hold no judgement for digging into it right away because warm Rice Krispies™️ are heavenly. Add chocolate Easter eggs on top of treats when serving. Enjoy!!

Notes

The key to soft Rice Krispie™️ treats is not overcooking the marshmallows causing them to get hard. Make them in the microwave(opposed to the stove) and you will be less likely to overcook them.
