Baked Tuna Steaks with Lemon and Sage

Tuna Steaks seared and baked with lemon and sage flavors to create the perfect weeknight meal that's easy and yet delicious!

Ingredients
  

  • 12-16 oz tuna steaks
  • 3 tbsp olive oil divided
  • 1 tbsp fresh sage chopped
  • zest of 1 lemon
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/4 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/8 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp fennel seed
  • lemon wedges

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 425℉. Marinate tuna steaks in fridge for a half hour in a medium bowl combined with 2 tbsp olive oil, 1 tbsp sage, lemon zest, garlic, salt, black pepper, and sage.
  • Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in cast iron skillet over medium high heat. Sear tuna steaks for one minute and then remove from heat. Flip tuna steaks and bake for 8-10 minutes or until desired doneness. 
  • Top with fresh lemon juice and a pinch of coarse salt and serve. Enjoy!
