My Favorite Tuna Salad and Avocado Pita Pockets

Ingredients
  

  • 2- 5 oz cans albacore tuna drained
  • 3 tablespoons aioli I used diLusso basil aioli
  • 1/2 cup celery chopped
  • 1 tablespoon shallots or onion
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • pinch coarse salt and black pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 avocado peeled, seeded, and cubed
  • lettuce leaves
  • pita bread

Instructions
 

  • In a medium bowl, mix tuna fish and aioli until combined.
  • Add celery, shallots, lemon juice, salt and pepper, and cayenne pepper and stir to combine.
  • Gently fold in avocado.
  • Warm pita bread in microwave on paper towel for 10-15 seconds to prevent bread from cracking.
  • Add leaf of lettuce to one side of pita bread and spoon tuna salad over lettuce.
  • Fold other side of bread over and serve.
