Leftover Turkey Panini with Cranberry Sauce

This turkey panini with cranberry sauce is the best way to use up all that leftover turkey meat from Thanksgiving. The cranberry sauce is delish!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Loaf Sourdough bread sliced
  • Leftover turkey slices
  • Fontina cheese sliced

Cranberry sauce

  • 1 12 oz bag fresh or frozen cranberries
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • zest of 1/2 lemon
  • 2 tablespoons water

Instructions
 

Cranberry Sauce

  • Empty the bag of cranberries in to a medium saucepan. Add sugar, lemon zest, and water and stir.
  • Cook over medium-low heat for 10 minutes until the sugar dissolves and cranberries become soft.
  • Increase heat to medium and cook for another 10 minutes and until the cranberries burst.
  • Let cool.

Turkey Paninis

  • Arrange cheese slices on one slice of bread followed by slices of turkey.
  • Spread cranberry sauce over the opposite slice of bread.
  • Add sandwich to a preheated panini grill for 2-3 minutes on medium high heat.
  • Serve and enjoy!
