Ingredients
  

  • 4-5 round steaks 3/4" thick
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Kosher salt
  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 16 oz can stewed tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup chopped celery
  • 1/2 cup sliced carrots
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 cup shredded Cheddar cheese

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350℉.
  • In a small bowl, combine flour and salt. Pound into cuts of meat on both sides. Do not discard remaining flour.
  • Heat olive oil over medium high heat. Sear meat 30 seconds-1minute per side. Transfer meat to a shallow baking dish.
  • Add remaining flour to skillet with meat drippings and stir with a wooden spoon. Add stewed tomatoes, celery, carrots, garlic, and Worcestershire sauce to skillet and combine. Bring to a boil and remove from heat.
  • Pour over meat. Cover baking dish with foil and bake for 2 hours.
  • Top with cheddar cheese and return to oven for 2 minutes.
