Spicy shrimp and cabbage slaw topped with avocado lime crema and a drizzle or two of sriracha sauce. This combination creates the best shrimp taco you’ve eaten so far.
Have you ever eaten really good shrimp tacos? I make fish tacos on occasion at home but I have never dived in to homemade shrimp tacos, that is until now. Recently I ordered some fish tacos at Tacos John’s but unlike most of their food I wasn’t thoroughly impressed with the shrimp street tacos. I owed it to the fact that I had not gotten them from the Hastings Tacos John’s, which serves the best Tacos John’s food. A little Taco John’s 101 for ya there.
That is why I decided to try my hand at some delicious spicy sriracha shrimp tacos. They are without a doubt FABULOUS!!
They are fabulous for their flavor and fabulous for how easy they come together. In the recipe, note I marinated the shrimp in the marinade for about a half hour which is about how long it takes to get the cabbage slaw and avocado lime crema together.
So no need to worry about waiting for that 30 minutes to hurry itself up. Once you have your cabbage slaw and avocado lime crema ready to go and it’s close to that 30 minutes, just get going on your shrimp.
Feel free to use uncooked shrimp, but I never mind the convenience of already cooked shrimp especially if you can find it at a good price.
