Welcome Back Saturday Love Series!
SATUUUUUURDAY! Hey hey hey!
So many fun things to do on Saturday and so little time or so it feels. I am pretty sure I skipped September entirely after the Saturday Love Series made its debut in August. I swear I am trying to keep the “series” a series. Life gets busy and I get wrapped in food posts, but I think these are just as important so you can get a little sense of who 3 Scoops of Sugar is in real life.
We headed off to Roca Berry Farm in Roca, NE, which is just south of Lincoln. This pumpkin patch made our day, and yes adults incluced! We ran, we jumped, we laughed, some of us cried, and we are all ready to do it all over again as soon as possible knowing full well it will probably be next year. So at least we have some fun pictures to reminisce the day until then.
Pumpkin patches have basically turned into a mini vacation or staycation, which is what our most of our little adventures consist of these days with our kiddos. And all in good reason because two and a half hours of “Are we there yet?” is a lot of questions! In the meantime, we are enjoying the pumpkin patches and children’s museums and will look forward to the future vacations to come.
Fast forward to pulling in to the parking lot (Naps:2 No naps:1 ), please oh please let this work! The three year-old was the one without a nap and she definitely got through her crankiness within the first 30 minutes because with all the fun stuff going on, she had no time to be sad or tired. Haha! Our kids went nuts as soon as we got there…they went from the air bubble to the obstacle course to bumper cars to the cutest trikes in this mini town and I’m pretty sure that was in the first hour and a half. There was a lot of ground to cover and these kids weren’t about to miss a thing.
Time for a breather…
Because next comes a life size CANDY LAND, the coolest treehouse I’ve seen yet, and the list goes on. A little 101 on this photo below-it was only possible after minutes of bribing, making funny noises, redirecting, repeating each of their names five times minimum. And yet none of the kids are actually looking at the picture?? 😂

Dinner Time!
Oh my gosh, I don’t think any of us realized how hungry we were until we sat down to eat. We couldn’t get it down fast enough. There was a lot of fry stealing, chip sneaking, cookie dropping (where the tears came in), and arm pulling to get back out there and have some more fun. I like to call this time my 15 MINUTES of BLISS because I it was the easiest time of the day to keep track of these little fun lovers.
The Roca Berry Pumpkin Chucker, yes you read that correctly! It takes about 5 minutes to load and then WHAM! A pumpkin is chucked into the trees. Coolest looking pumpkin chucker I have ever seen.
We can officially leave now that little Miss Reese got her kettle corn. The girl loves popcorn, what can I say?
Until next time! ❤️❤️
