My favorite spicy red salsa that is homemade and just takes minutes to prepare. It’s great with chips but also delicious on so many things including wraps, salads, sandwiches, and bowls!
School’s almost out and I am as excited as the kids! Honest!
I have had my fair share of days inside with the kids. And as much as that was really nice some days, it got to be a little tiring. All they wanted was something fun to do outside, and nothing outside sounds fun when it’s 20 degrees outside. So when they say MOM, LET’S GO OUTSIDE I am beating them to the door these days.
And since I’m being honest, I am even loving the endless cloudy days this spring. They make for some excellent picture taking days!
So, you guys about this salsa, it is absolutely without a doubt my fav. I guess you could say I am a little bit more of a wimp when it comes to spicy food and yet I love the spiciness of this salsa. On my own scale of spiciness, I would give this a 6 so it’s definitely not overly spicy. My husband loves spicy food and I’m guessing he would rate it lower because he can eat it without no problem just by the spoonful.
It comes together so easily in this Manual Food Processor (affiliate link) by Pampered Chef®. It creates that perfect salsa consistency but you could definitely make it with any food processor. I just really like this one because there’s no cord and to me that’s less hassle.
As I said before I have been adding this salsa to so many things so far because I just love it so much.
It’s great to add flavor and texture to:
Sandwiches
Salads
Chicken Burrito Bowls
Wraps
My most recent favorite lunch is a chopped spinach salad with some shredded chicken, red cabbage, avocado (duh!), maybe some black beans if I’m in the mood, and this salsa on top! If you have checked out any my Insta stories then this is old news to you. Haha!
