This Strawberry Banana Ice Cream is the ultimate treat this summer! It’s refreshing, smooth, and so creamy.
Summer is for relaxing, vacationing, and all things that are good for the soul. There hasn’t been a lot of relaxing or vacationing around here but let me tell you that this strawberry banana ice cream is exactly what you need whether you realized it or not. It’s so delicious and is the perfect treat for the 4th of July, that backyard BBQ with neighbors or for any day that you see fit. No judgement here, scout’s honor.
I don’t make homemade ice cream much at all but when I do I expect it to be outstanding. I usually stick to vanilla but this time I branched out and went with the strawberry banana combo and it is so incredibly good. There’s just a hint of banana flavor. I also love that nothing needs to be frozen beforehand in this recipe (aka the bananas). I really don’t prefer to add that extra step before you can begin making the ice cream bc when I’m ready to make ice cream I don’t want to have to plan ahead that much.
This recipe is super easy. You blend the strawberries and bananas together and then press them through a mesh strainer to leave all those seeds behind.
The rate-limiting step is straining the strawberries. It is sooo worth it though. Trust me on this (in my best Dory voice!) You want seedless ice cream that is smooth and creamy. Kids and adults will all love this ice cream.
The holidays are meant for some real creamy homemade delicious ice cream and this strawberry banana ice cream is just that. You have got to make it this summer. Whatever you are celebrating, bring this to the table. It’s definitely my new favorite lately.
Grab a sugar cone and a scoop of this cream ice cream and you will be good to goooo.
