I think I will pass on the AMAAZING BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwiches and switch it up for maybe some split pea soup said NO ONE. EVER!!
This is a mercy post! It is in honor of my husband for putting up with my GO VEGETARIAN month. I decided I would surprise him and I sure did just that. I mean you either go big or go home, right! Well, I sure put a smile on his face!
These sandwiches are finger lickin good! And we picked the perfect night to make them because we were able to sit on the deck and enjoy them outside. What a wonderful combination…BBQ pulled pork sandwiches + a perfect evening in NE= pure bliss! Especially after 12 days of NO MEAT!
Yessum, I think I will have one of those please!
Do you see the look of desperation on my husband’s face?! I mean the guy is just barely surviving on my vegetarian dishes! Me…I am doing really well. But, as far as last evening…I was willing to sacrifice a little in order to make the hubs happy! 😉 By the way…I need to lay this out right now…there was no sacrificing when I took a bite into these fantastic BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwiches. In fact, I just found my menu for Reese’s 2nd birthday this weekend! You are welcome family!!!
I decided I wanted to add a little crunch to these pork sandwiches, so what better topping than some BBQ flavored coleslaw! I wanted to tie in the BBQ flavor of the pork with the coleslaw so I added this little amazing sauce I came across…
This stuff is so yummy! I added a bit of this sauce with a few other ingredients to my coleslaw to give it a BBQ-ey (not sure if that is a word, but I use it A LOT) flavor. This coleslaw is amazing! I could devote an entire post strictly to the coleslaw but you are getting a 2-fer 😉 again this week!
So whip up your coleslaw and dab some on top of your pulled pork sandwich and dig in because this stuff is so delish! You should probably head on out to the store soon…
One of the great things about this recipe is you place your pork shoulder in your crockpot in the morning, set it to low and 10 hours later supper is nearly ready to go! Just transfer your pork shoulder to a large 9×13 baking dish and split it apart with two forks and drizzle a bit of the BBQ sauce on top and YOU ARE DONE!! This pork just falls apart when you touch it, which is the best kind if you ask me!
