Ham and turkey sandwiches with lettuce, tomato, cheddar cheese, aioli and mustard to create the perfect crowd-pleaser! They are foil wrapped and grilled over medium-low heat just enough to get the cheese melted and get that perfect toasted bread.
So you know that french bread I made the other day and have been dying to use up? Well I have a stellar idea on what to do with it. You are looking at some de-lish Ham and Turkey Grilled French Bread Sandwiches.
They are full of fresh ingredients!
These taste so much better fresh off the grill than the usual sandwich. I have actually been eating these for a few days now and I still can’t get enough of them. We are talking minimal prep, big on flavor, and great for evenings you have family or friends over. These ham and turkey french bread sandwiches are pretty much the perfect dinner any night of the week!
The more veggies you can pile on the better. There’s really no way you can go wrong with these sandwiches. Figure out what you can’t live without on your sandwich and go to town. And with Labor Day Weekend here we could all use a quick and easy way to chow down on good grub.

Foil-Wrapped Ham & Turkey Grilled French Bread Sandwiches
Ingredients
- 1 Loaf French Bread sliced lengthwise
- 1/4 pound deli ham sandwich sliced
- 1/4 pound deli turkey sandwich sliced
- 2 tablespoons basil aioli
- 2 teaspoons mustard
- 1/2 cup Romaine lettuce chopped
- 1/2 medium tomato sliced
- cheddar cheese sliced or can use already grated cheddar cheese
- 2 tablespoons butter melted
- black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat grill to medium-low heat or about 400℉.
- Butter the inside of the loaf and transfer to grill for only about 15-30 seconds. Remove from grill.
- On bottom section, layer aioli, lettuce, tomato, cheese, and mustard. Add a pinch or two of black pepper. Add turkey and ham on top and cover with other half of bread.
- Wrap in foil and grill on indirect heat for 2-4 minutes. Using tongs, check on sandwiches every minute or so to make sure bread doesn't burn. Don't walk away from grill to ensure sandwiches are grilled to desired doneness.
