We absolutely love fall time and here is a look into some of our best memories spent at the pumpkin patch playing with pumpkins!!
I always say if we have to say goodbye to summer, then it’s a good thing we have fall to look forward to because it is my second favorite time of the year! I absolutely love fall but feel it’s usually a bit too short when I start to see the snow fall in October.
For that reason, I decided to let you take a sneak peak into our favorite days of fall!! It’s a picture overload so I apologize if it’s too much but I think you will understand.
This year we never made it to a pumpkin patch over a weekend so we had to find a patch that was open on a Friday and The Scarecrow Patch in St. Libory was the winner. We went twice and I don’t remember the last time we went to a specific pumpkin patch more than once during the same season. It’s for good reason, it is so beautiful there with all of the rustic buildings, a shop to browse around at holiday craft items, and I can’t let go of the fire pits where you get to roast your own hotdogs and s’mores! This place went all out and was well worth the admission price of $7/person with the coupon from their site.
Corn Maze
I am definitely getting more laid back than I used to be. I used to see these corn mazes and given my kids are so close in age and we were once hauling around a 1, 2, and 3 year old, ran for.the.hills! I wouldn’t even consider it and now here we are mastering the corn mazes like it’s nothing. My how life changes quickly.
Now instead of my purse being stuffed with wipes, and pull-ups it’s got my camera, a bottle of water, and hand sanitizer taking their place.
Slides
The kids spent about an hour on this one slide and I sat there snapping an obscene amount of pictures because their faces were priceless…
It always seems whenever we take a “fun” trip we go and go until we can go no longer and that is just what we did on this day. We (mostly I) were exhausted by the time we got back to the car. Just a little trick I like to throw up my sleeve- I always pack a cooler of flavored waters and granola bars for the way home so the kids can’t surprise me and make a desperate call for a trip to the gas station. Well, it paid off because they cheered loudly when I pulled out the cooler and showed them their “treats” for the way home!
There is nothing like a day spent having fun with the kids when you aren’t sweating to death and reapplying sunscreen like it’s your job every hour. I love summer, but some days you just can’t beat what fall has to offer you with the 60 degree weather and a little bit of sunshine!
This was an unforgettable moment with Reese. The boys were having fun over on the orange jumpy thing 🤷♀️ and Reese asked to play tic-tac-toe with mommy. Now don’t get me wrong, I let her win more times than I should and so this may be why she has the face that she does. I don’t like to rub anything in especially out loud! Honestly I don’t think I would even remember her doing this if I hadn’t snapped the picture but this literally is a picture of 1000 words and it will always remind me of how much my little Reese likes to win.
Pumpkin Tic-Tac-Toe
There’s so much more to say about our mommy and kids day at the pumpkin patch but I will spare you the rest of the details and just let you enjoy some more pics!!
