Mornings are hard. They are also beautiful and rejuvenating. But mostly they are hard, coffee in hand and all. There is just so much to get done in the mornings. I won’t go through my daunting list but if I got as much done the rest of the day as I do in the first two hours of every day I would amaze myself every single damn day.
And some might think, ah really? You stay at home so really what are you worried about? Well let me just say I work harder now than I ever did when I had a full time job. The reason is this..I work on my blog every waking chance I can get when the kids don’t need me first. On top of that, every time I step into a room needing to get something and see a mess (aka one toy or 100 toys) I can not help but stop everything and clean it up which usually leads to a load of laundry followed by dishes and an hour later I realize that all I really wanted to do was go grab a pen. It’s daunting.
For this reason, I need a little happiness in the morning such as this beautiful and awesome citrus smoothie bowl!!
What makes me the happiest about these citrus smoothie bowls is that my kids love them just as much as I do!! And why shouldn’t they because they’re absolutely delicious. However, the trick is that I sneaked in some spinach and they had no idea. None whatsoever and my kids do not do well with any veggies. So the fact that I got them to eat spinach makes me want to shout it from the rooftop!

Does anyone else love when oranges are in season as much as I do?! Like we are totally sick of winter and the harsh winds but then all of a sudden these scrumptious little guys come into our lives and I’m like winter, oh who cares? At least I found some awesome oranges to make something amazing with. This simple baked cod is always a good choice.

Smoothie Ingredients
Orange
Frozen Banana
Vanilla Yogurt
Milk
Spinach
Frozen Pineapple
Awesome No Added Sugar Citrus Smoothie Bowl
Ingredients
- 1 orange cut into sections
- 1 frozen banana
- 1/2 cup vanilla yogurt
- 1/2 cup milk of choice
- 1/2 cup spinach
- 1 cup frozen pineapple
- Optional toppings: ground flax seed granola, orange slices, banana slices, chia seeds
Instructions
- Add ingredients to a high-powered blender and blend until smooth. Pour into a bowl and top with desired toppings. Enjoy it and go get 'em!
