It is true that we are experiencing the best days of summer RIGHT NOW. I am not even joking. Ya the weather has cooled down a bit and it’s glorious but the main highlights of summer right now involve the fresh produce everywhere! I cannot get enough of sweet corn, blueberry crumbles, and all of this wondrous strawberry rhubarb baked oatmeal.
But today I am especially loving all of the fresh peaches showing up at the Farmer’s Market. Sure, there are lots of good ways to use fresh peaches this time of year but if you really want to enjoy the pure taste of a fresh peach all you need is to test out these grilled peaches with a drizzle or two of this amazing buttery cinnamon sugar topping and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. That’s the way to make your dessert tonight.
I really believe meals do not need to be fussy and time consuming so why should our desserts be? It’s really not necessary. Grilled peaches have just become my favorite dessert of now until I am unable to find another fresh peach.
Sometimes, peach cobbler is a necessity but other times all I need is one of these ripe little guys grilled to perfection and that scoop of ice cream to make it all come together. Ya know what I mean? Well, you will if you try these!!
I can foresee these grilled peaches making an appearance at lots of backyard gatherings in the future. They are fun and a little out of the ordinary but mainly because they are so unbelievable tasty and the right amount of easy for this level of dessert.
Is anyone else loving the endless desserts lately?! Me too. It can’t always be about salads and veggies or what would motivate you to eat more salads?? Balance. That’s the key!
Give these grilled peaches a try. And soon!
