Easy to create, creamy pecan pasta sauce with a bit of a kick from the Sriracha sauce. Great sauce to pour over your favorite pasta. Soak the nuts for two hours and then prep the rest of the sauce in the food processor and it is ready to eat!
I Am A Foodatarian
Meat. Nom. Veggies. Nom Nom. Food. Nom Nom Nom. I will probably never cut meat entirely out of my diet because I love chicken and fish too much and my husband would go in shock if I stopped eating his steaks. However, I also love trying vegetarian or vegan meals.
This pecan pasta sauce is superb. And it can be made vegan using a plant-based milk or use regular milk. Either way, this sauce is FAN-TASTIC!! So flavorful, and with just the right amount of kick from the Sriracha sauce.
I love a good sauce atop my pasta and it seems we eat a bit more pasta these days. I am pretty sure in the past I went years without eating much pasta. No joke I lived off spinach salads and wraps and yogurt back in the day. No more of that. I wouldn’t last beyond 10am on what I used to. I run around after our kids from the moment I hear, “Mommy, I need juice” until they get into bed and say “Goodnight…I’m thirsty.” 😂 I NEED PASTA🍝 in my life. I also need a good sauce to pour on top and that’s why I am so incredibly excited about this easy pecan pasta sauce.
This one’s gonna be a keeper! Because I can eat pasta in the springtime, summer, fall, and winter!
Kids Will Be Kids
We have 3 kids, ages 3, 3, and 5 right now. We do not have twins…our middle child will turn 4 in just a couple of weeks. Close, right?! So close that I love watching them do mostly everything together. They play together, read books together, the boys even want to pee together. 😝
I love watching them interact at these ages.
That said, it is just darn right hard to please them when it comes to feeding them. That may be because I care so much about what kind of things they eat right now. I have stopped buying fruit snacks(for the most part😉), I try to limit their sugar intake (usually a fail), and I continue to offer them all different kinds of fruits and vegetables. Did I think they were going to give this pecan pasta sauce a try? NO WAY. Well, I was totally and completely right. They didn’t but I am going to keep trying and be pleased if they even take a bite of something “new.”
I loooove to cook and am hoping one day sooner rather than later they will come around! In the meantime I am going to enjoy a little extra of my easy pecan pasta sauce. 😉
P.S. Check out the food label and see how packed this sauce is with B vitamins! That my friends is complements of the nutritional yeast. You can find usually find this in the health foods section of your grocery store and here is what you are looking for.
