My favorite peanut butter granola that is so delicious and easy to make! It takes just 7 ingredients and 40 minutes to bake. It’s the best of the best!
Granola is one of my favorite things to make. Store-bought is really good too, but I always love making a big batch of homemade granola because my house smells amazing for the next few hours!
I haven’t added a peanut butter granola on the blog and so it is definitely time to add this recipe to the mix! It’s a perfect fall snack or winter, spring, or summer really.
If you are a big granola fan, then you need to try these as well:
Cinnamon Pecan Granola-a combination of oats, pecans, cinnamon, flaxseed, chia seeds, brown sugar, coconut oil, coconut, maple syrup, egg white, and vanilla
Coconut Almond Granola-a combination of oats, almonds, pepitas, coconut, coconut sugar, egg white, canola oil, almond extract, honey and almond butter
Honey Almond Granola-a combination of oats, almonds, flaxseed, brown sugar, chia seeds, honey coconut oil, vanilla extract, and egg white
Coconut and Cashew Granola-a combination of oats, cashews, coconut, brown sugar, pepitas, coconut oil, honey, egg white, vanilla, and chocolate chips
I love all of these flavor combinations too, but my all-time favorite is the cinnamon pecan granola! It’s soo so delicious! Oh, and my kitchen smells like a cinnamon roll for hours which is a bonus!
I definitely love the peanut butter flavor in granola and will be making this on repeat this fall for sure. This peanut butter granola would be great in snack bite form or as granola bars.
I have been trying to get more into the fall mood with all of the soups I have been making and if the weather is going to keep on getting colder then you can expect more cozy soups coming real soon!! Drop a comment below if you have any recs for what I should be adding to the 3SS recipe index! In the meantime, I will be enjoying all of the pb granola I can handle!
If you haven’t ever made homemade granola before, let me give you a couple quick tips!
Homemade Granola Tips:
- It’s a lot more fuss-free than you might think. I didn’t make homemade granola for the longest time cause I thought it would be a huge pain. They have so many yummy flavors at the store so why bother? However, homemade granola is so yummy and I think you just give it a try. You simply mix the dry ingredients, mix the wet ingredients and then combine the two and stir. It all goes on a parchement-lined baking sheet and bake for about 40 minutes at 300℉. That’s it.
- The homemade version goes a lot farther than the bags you pick up from the store. I go through those bags so quickly and granola can be expensive so this is one of the main reasons I like to make my own.
- I love the big granola clusters and they are best enjoyed after making homemade granola because if you leave the pan alone while baking, the clusters will form and they are the best! Believe me!
Best Peanut Butter Granola
Ingredients
- 3 cups old fashioned oats
- 1/2 cup peanuts chopped
- 2 tbsp flaxseed meal
- 1/2 cup Natural creamy peanut butter
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 egg white
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 300℉. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
- Add oats, peanuts, and flaxseed meal to a large bowl and stir. In a medium microwave-safe bowl, melt peanut butter and honey together for 30 seconds. Add egg white and vanilla and mix together.
- Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and stir until well incorporated. Spread mixture out on to baking sheet evenly with a rubber spatula. Bake for 40 minutes or until golden brown. Do NOT mix granola halfway through baking time as this allows clusters to form. Let cool completely until you break apart granola. Store in an airtight container for one week.
