Asian lettuce wraps with ground turkey, julienned carrots, and a blend of sauces for an easy and fulfilling meal. Your friends and family are going to love these and they’re healthy!
Lettuce be real, these lettuce wraps are da bomb!! I remembered how much I actually love these after eating them at Crave in Midtown Omaha a couple weeks ago. They were so delicious and fresh-tasting. You pretty much forget that you are eating food stuffed inside a leaf of lettuce. The same goes for these too because these Asian Lettuce Wraps pack so much flavor.
My husband has been dropping non-subtle hints since we’ve been married (6 years!) for me to cook Asian food, so it was probably time. And this was the perfect thing to make first!! And bonus for getting him to eat more greens! I’m always thinkin’.
This is one of those perfect recipes for days when you turn up your nose about fixing dinner because you have no idea what you are going to cook. You know, when you are looking for something different but also simple and good for you (or maybe not but that’s totally a bonus!). You might be tired of the blah, don’t feel like fast food, and you are just in need of something new and interesting. Well, grab on to that second wind and try out these Amazin’ Asian Lettuce Wraps!
And who knows, you might even surprise yourself and get out there and go for a walk after supper while you are feeling the cool, post-meal vibes from these lettuce wraps.
And if you are lucky like me right now, the temperature is a cool 70 degrees at 7:30pm. Sometimes I feel like a sweet little 75 year-old man that rattles off in conversation starting with “Nice day out there, eh!” It’s one of the first things I used to ask my dad in the morning before heading off to school. I would hop outta bed and yell down from my bedroom, “Daaaaad, how warm is it gonna be today?” He always knew, because he was an early riser. Early riser like coffee was made, morning walk already in, Eggo Waffles waiting at the breakfast table for us kids with extra syrup and all this happened before I even got in the shower.
Now I know where I get it!
